Mine is a holistic approach to counselling which focuses on the person as a whole – mind, body and spirit. I work with you the person, recognising your individual needs. My role as counsellor is to be present with you and support you through whatever difficulties you are experiencing be that depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement/loss, relationship/family difficulties or overwhelming thoughts and feelings. I can help you to address any issues that are affecting your overall well-being in a confidential, safe, supportive and non-judgemental way. Together we will uncover your own inner resources, wisdom and strength, which will help you to find the answers you seek, gaining clarity and personal insight.
I can work with you on an open ended basis or for an agreed period of time. As an integrative counsellor with person-centred values at the core of my work, I am flexible and creative in my approach, drawing on a wide spectrum of therapeutic knowledge to best suit your own individual needs. These include creative arts therapies, CBT, Gestalt, Jungian psychology, Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Somatic Trauma Therapy, Psychosynthesis/ spiritual, Sand Tray Therapy and therapeutic writing. I may introduce you where helpful and appropriate to therapeutic methods such as guided visualisation, drawing, writing, chakra balancing, meditation and mindfulness.
I am also a qualified child counsellor with over ten years experience of working with children and young people. The Bexley location is a well equipped play therapy space where I work with children using art materials, sand, toys and games.
I am a BACP registered counsellor, working both in my own practice (Online and Bexley Practice) and for an affordable counselling service, working from GP practices throughout Kent. I offer face to face counselling at Bexley High Street DA5 and online via Zoom, Skype and video calls (and more recently social distanced walk and talk/picnic sessions)
